Policy
Boris decided to stand for Mayor because he has a vision for London. He has worked and consulted with the capital's pre-eminent opinion-formers, academics, experts and business people in a series of roundtable policy reviews that covered the most important issues to Londoners such as crime; transport; housing, planning and regeneration; the environment; the Olympics; culture and arts; and health inequalities to develop fresh new ideas for his manifesto.
Boris has sought the views of Londoners across the city, regardless of their political affiliation, to root his policies in the reality of London life and is proud of the policy commitments that he has made to make the life of Londoners better.
Here, Boris gives his view on the issues that matter to Londoners, and outlines his approach to improving life in the city. Policy announcements are posted as they are made as well as a list of Frequently Asked Questions. We welcome your feedback; only with the views of Londoners can we work together to make London even greater.
