Boris lights up the campaign trail...
On Sunday 27th April, Boris on yet another busy day of campaigning, visited Elephant and Castle, Tottenham, Balham and Kensal Green.
The day started with a trip to Balham, Wandsworth where Boris addressed members of the White Eagle Club and the Polish community. This was preceded by the meeting of locals to discuss their concerns of crime, the local environment and the financial burden Ken Livingstone's Mayoralty has had upon them.
Boris then made the trip to Mayhew Animal Home, Kensal Green to speak with staff there about the increasing problem of dogs being used as weapons and forms of intimidation.
This was followed by a visit to the Fusion Leisure Centre, Elephant and Castle, where Boris addressed the Latin American Community and answered the issues which matter to them in a frank question and answer session.
In the evening Boris then paid a visit to the City of London Business College in Tottenham, where he spoke at length about the issues and concerns the Ghanaian Community face at this election.
Speaking after a hectic day of campaigning, Boris said:
"Today's campaigning has been fantastic! The sheer plethora of people I have met today and spoken with, confirms in my mind that people are ready for a change for the better. Crime, the local environment and value for money are just some of the issues which Londoners today and over the past few months have indicated are most pressing.
As Mayor of London, I will address these issues with energy, vigour and dynamism - things which the present Mayor is sorely lacking in."
